MEET The Faculty


D.W. is the Creative Director of TIME, where he is responsible for the cover and overall design direction of one of the world’s most iconic brands. He has designed and produced more than 200 TIME covers, including the Person of the Year and TIME 100 issues, the 9/11 anniversary, and the deaths of Osama Bin Laden and Steve Jobs. 


Eugénie is the Director of Photography at Patagonia. She joined the company in 2015 after more than a decade in the editorial, commercial, and fine-art photography worlds, including time as an art producer for Wieden + Kennedy, a photographer for Modern Farmer magazine, and a board member for Photolucida. Original from Portland, she lives in Ojai, CA.


Brandon is a creative consultant with more than 20 years of experience as the former Creative Director of Wired, Fortune, and Best Life, among others. He has consulted for Esquire's "Big Black Book," and has received more than 100 awards, including 2 national magazine nominations for design, 20 gold and 15 silver medals from the Society of Publication Designers. 


Jesse Southerland - bicycling magazine

Jesse is the Design and Photo Director at Bicycling magazine and moonlights as the Design Director for The Collective Quarterly. Previously, he was the Creative Director at Philadelphia magazine in addition to working on various wedding, home, and fashion magazines. Though he now lives in Pennsylvania, he still wears a chip on his shoulder from growing up in Indiana.


Jesse is the Creative Director and co-founder of The Collective Quarterly. Previously, he worked as an editorial illustrator, creating covers for some of the most well-respected titles in media around the world, including The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, and many more. He lives in Ohio with his wife, three boys, and two puppies.

Shannon Ghannam - Magnum PHotos

Shannon manages education globally for Magnum Photos and is working on  initiatives in the run-up to Magnum’s 70th anniversary year in 2017. For the past 15 years, she has managed a diverse range of programs, including her work as a photo editor and curator for award-winning special projects for Reuters. She lives in London.
