Dumpster Diving

In Asheville, North Carolina, dirtbag culture is alive and well.

Which brings us to a balmy night in June, when we found ourselves knee-deep in a dumpster behind a pizza joint, scrounging for perfectly good pizza scraps with some travelers who were kind enough to show us the way they do things on the road.

If there's one thing we've learned from our travels so far, it's to dive right in (excuse the pun) to the local way without judgment. To document the culture, you have to be part of the culture—"when in Rome," and all that.
